Reactivity of Metals

As you can see from the table above all had various different reactions with sodium reacting with the water the quickest and having the largest reaction along with lithium and calcium. However magnesium and aluminum took much longer to react and we had to wait the weekend to see a result which for magnesium was a yellow liquid and for aluminum was a pink liquid. Also one important thing to note is that is that there was no set unit of weight we used that was constant across all elements. Therefore, we do not know if a reaction occured because of the substance itself or the amount of the substance present.
