There were many things that made an impression on me from the ck12 modalities. The first thing that impressed me was how chemistry and matter could be found in our everyday daily lives. I had never really thought of chemistry in matter in personal objects such as soap before, and usually only considered it in terms of its scientific implications.

The second thing that impressed me was all the different types of chemistry there were. I had already considered chemistry a branch of the broad term of "science" so I was pretty surprised to find out it could be divided into even more branches.

The third thing that impressed me was all the applications that chemistry can have to the modern world. I learned that chemistry can constantly help us keep improving our way of life such as with technology and methods of transportation.

The fourth thing (and probably what I though was most interesting) relates back to some of the other points and is how people are able to make things such as soaps and complex compounds using chemistry. This impresses me because it's hard to imagine all the hard work and effort that must have taken. Its also crazy to think of how many times the scientists must have failed in those experiments.
Last but not least, I was impressed by the large scale of energy that can sometimes be involved with chemistry and also the destructive power that can be utilized with it. It shows me that scientists and countries that develop weapons using chemistry have to learn to be very responsible with them and their use.
The Ck12 modules were enjoyable to read and I look foward to this Chemistry class.
